Regina’s recent contemplations of forest fires and volcanic eruptions has led her to create this body of work that asks the viewer to share in a visual space filled with glowing embers, emerging flames and distant fire bursts – works that undulate off the wall and ceiling. Creating her marks directly on the landscape, Regina Benson uses rocks, grasses, and even the falling snow, to inform her vision, marrying the message with the medium
Among the new works in this show, Regina has created a 40-foot work that takes you directly through a burning tunnel; another work flames with digitally integrated LED’s, and more.
