SAQA Structures in Cloth

The opening reception of Structures in Cloth is June 9, 2011 at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities from 6-9pm. Also opening at the same event are two other wonderful shows; Time Travel: Salon Settings of decorative art and paintings from the Kirkland Museum’s international collection and Michael Gregory: Western Construct which includes 15 large scale paintings presenting America as a ‘construct of our imagination’.

Christi Beckmann will lead a discussion of the exhibit on Monday June 13 at 10:30 am in the Theatre Gallery

A quilt workshop on free form fabric design will be given by Christi Beckmannn and Kate Cox. on Saturday July 23, 2011 from 10am-2pm. The class involves building a 12″ square piece using a collage method of layering cloth followed by the addition of stitch as an artistic element. contact the Arvada center for more information: Bernita@arvadacenter.org
