No Place to Call Home

NO PLACE TO CALL HOME, a SAQA sponsored exhibition about homelessness, is currently showing at the Loveland Museum/Gallery at 503 N. Lincoln Avenue in Loveland, Colorado from June 30 through September 16, 2012.

Fifteen quilts about homelessness are featured in this exhibition curated by SAQA member-curator Kathleen McCabe. This exhibit is bittersweet in view of the recent loss of homes from fires along the Front Range.

There will also be a gallery talk and presentation on Thursday, September 6 at 5:30 p.m. with SAQA member Do  Palma, who has a quilt in the exhibit.

Judith Trager will facilitate a free workshop “The Sleeping Bag Project: Ugly Quilt Event,” on Saturday, July 14 at the museum. Participants in this workshop will make a sleeping bag to be donated to various homeless organizations for their use.

For information, call the Loveland Museum/Gallery, 970-962-2410.
